Servoship designs and manufactures custom hydraulic turbines for power plants and mini-hydro plants across a wide range of heads and flow rates. We manufacture the three main turbine types Kaplan, Francis, and Pelton with power outputs of up to 3,000 kW, and we provide technical support and spare parts throughout the equipment’s service life.

The choice of turbine depends primarily on two variables: the head (available water height) and the flow rate.

Which turbine do I need based on my head and flow rate?

If your plant has:

  • Low head (2-20 m) and high or variable flow, choose Kaplan
  • Medium head (15-200 m) and varied flow, choose Francis
  • High head (80-500 m) and low flow, choose Pelton
